Purdey Double Rifle - $49,500.00 AUD
450/400 x 3 1/4" Nitro Express Best Quality Sidelock DB Rifle by J.Purdey & Sons. Serial No. 19819 for 1903. Fully engraved in typical Purdey Rose and Scroll style, reinforced action. MINT bores. Finely figured stock with cheek rest and pistol grip, original silvers recoil pad. Very crisp original condition retaining much finish. This rifle is particularly tight and appears to have had very little use. Cased in original Maker’s Oak and leather Case with Purdey Trade Label and Accessories.

Charles Lancester Double Rifle - $28,000.00 AUD
400/350 x 2 3/4” Nitro Express Best Quality hand detatchable Sidelock DB Rifle by Charles Lancaster. 26” steel barrels with Oval bore rifling, under rib engraved “Non-Fouling smooth Oval Bore Rifling” Maker’s name inlaid in gold, gold escutcheon. Bolted Safety. Fully engraved with best scroll engraving and in very crisp and original condition, retaining much finish. Excellent bores. Formerly the property of the Maharaja of Jodphur, cased in Maker’s Oak and Leather Case with Trade Label and Accessories. Original outer canvas cover.

303 Underlever Hammer DB rifle by C.W. Andrews, London, fitted with rebounding back action locks engraved with stags in woodland. Now fitted with later Burris telescscopic sight. Restocked with Exhibition grade wood to best standard. Heel and toe plates fitted. Excellent bores and a very fine rifle. $10,950.00 AUD

Charles Lancestor, 12 Bore - $7,950.00 AUD
12 bore Oval bore Top Lever DB Hammer Ball and Shot gun by Charles Lancaster, London. The "Colindian" Model. Fully factory refinished by English Gunmakers to as new condition. Excellent bores, nicely patterned Damascus Barrels, fitted with leaf sights. A most uncommon firearm. BP Proof. Very minor Gas cutting around firing pins on breech faces not affecting shooting and of a cosmetic nature only.

Cogswell and Harrison, Double Barel Rifle - $10,300.00 AUD
6.5 x 53R Top Lever Hammerless Boxlock DB Rifle by Cogswell and Harrison, London, profusely scroll engraved, good bores and nice wood. Nitro Proof, and fitted with an ejector system which has been deactivated but no doubt could made operable if required. Very good condition and fitted with a base for QD telescopic sight. Barrel rib and escutcheon engraved with a former owners name. This would be a High grade Boxlock from this maker.

William Powell Double Rifle - $5,000.00 AUD
577/500 x 3 1/8" Magnum BP express DB Rifle by William Powell, London. Reblacked overall, stock in fair condition, in very usable condition. This is a "project" rifle which could be improved by re-stocking and a general cleanup. Very good bores. This rifle is described in the Maker’s records, a copy of which will accompany the rifle as “Best Quality” fitted with Powell’s “Cross Bolt Snap Action. Well worthy of careful restoration.

577/450 Martini action Sporting Rifle by P Webley. Steel barrel fitted with Leaf and Ladder sights. Lever fits flush with the pistol grip stock Plain finish with some original finsh remaining.

Thomas Bussey, Single Barrel Percussion Rifle - $4,500.00 AUD
A single Barrel Percussion Rifle by Thomas Bussey of Leicester. Rifled with two groove in 50 cal and fitted with single set trigger. The riflehas been fully restored to as new condition by a leading gunsmith. Cased in a Mahogany case of the mid 19th century with a number of modern accessories including belted bullet moulds for two groove rifling . A pretty Rifle for the Collector/shooter of fine English Sporting arms.

Firmet A Paris, Double Barrel Piece - $4,000.00 AUD
Double Barrel Percussion Fowling piece by Firmet a Paris. Signed in Gold by the Maker, this dainty little 20 bore appears to have been made for a youth. Nicely engraved and with a nice stock with cheek rest, (Minor Repairs ) this is a highly collectable piece.

- All firearms and other goods offered for sale are faithfully described with all faults. Any further information can be readily supplied on request.
- The firearms offered for sale are sold on the basis of their value as a vintage, antique or collectable firearm only. No guarantee is implied or given in relation to their sutability for shooting. Back to Africa Safaris and Back to Africa Firearms PTY LTD, its agents, sub agents and any of its providers, friends or family will not be held responsible for any loss of life, limb, or financial loss due to any purchase made from us.
- All firearms purchased must be paid for in full and bank drafts or cheques must be cleared prior to despatch. The laws of the country of destination must be complied with for the purpose of importation.
- A five (5) day inspection period is allowed on items purchased. If unsatisfied with any item contact should be made forthwith to arrange return of goods. Refunds will only be made if the item is returned in the same condition as despatched.
- All freight costs to be borne by the purchaser. If you are unhappy with your purchase please contact us to discuss the problem. If the problem cannot be resolved by negotiation the item must be returned forthwith in the same condition as sent. The cost of returning the item must be borne by the buyer.
